There is inspiration, and hope, in the idea that no matter how futile, fragile, or ultimately doomed to fail our endeavours prove to be, the need to achieve or become more than what we are appears to reside in most of us, and seems to be an indelible part of the human spirit. Whether we fail or succeed in our hopes, dreams and aspirations, we should never cease trying to achieve them. The lyrics also play around with some fun imagery: might leaves aspire to be forests, moons to be suns, stones to be mountains, or raindrops to be oceans -- or, equally from tiny to great; might Man aspire to divinity?
